Caroline Chisholm

A compassionate advocate for migrants, Caroline Chisholm worked tirelessly to support women and families arriving in Australia in the 1800s. She helped them find housing, employment, and dignity in a new land. Her life reflects hospitality, practical charity, and a deep respect for the dignity of every person.

St Clare of Assisi

A follower of St Francis, Clare of Assisi embraced a life of simplicity, prayer, and deep trust in God. As founder of the Poor Clares, she led with quiet strength and unwavering faith. Her example calls us to live with humility, courage, and a focus on what truly matters.

Uncle Ivan Wellington

Uncle Ivan Wellington is a respected Aboriginal elder and proud Jerrinja man, born in Kiama in 1946. His early life on a mission in the Shoalhaven shaped a journey of resilience and healing. After settling in Campbelltown, he became a valued community leader, supporting young people as an Aboriginal mentor and serving as an Elder. He played an important role in promoting reconciliation through education, the Appin Massacre Memorial Ceremony, and cultural practices such as smoking ceremonies. Uncle Ivan’s legacy inspires respect, reconciliation, and a deep appreciation of First Nations culture and wisdom.

Patrick Ambrose Treacy

Br Patrick Ambrose Treacy was a pioneer of Catholic education in Australia and a member of the Christian Brothers. He devoted his life to forming young people through faith, discipline, and learning. His witness inspires perseverance, service, and a commitment to educational excellence.

St Arnold Janssen

St Arnold Janssen founded the Society of the Divine Word, a missionary congregation dedicated to spreading the Gospel across cultures. He believed deeply in the power of communication and evangelisation. His life challenges us to be people of mission, sharing faith with courage, openness, and respect for all.
