Diocesan and MISA Sport

Sport at St Francis Catholic College

At St Francis, we pride ourselves on a vibrant sporting culture that balances participation with a strong competitive edge. From our primary years through to Year 12, students are encouraged to excel, compete, and represent our college with pride.

Major College Carnivals

Our annual carnivals are highlights of the school calendar. These events serve as the primary pathway for students to earn selection for the Diocesan Representative Teams as well as earning points towards their houses in the House Cup.

  • Swimming Carnival: Open to competitive students in Years 5–6 as well as all students in Years 7 - 12.
  • Athletics Carnival: Years K-6 and 7-12 have their events separately throughout the year where students of all ages compete in a range of Track and Field events.
  • Cross Country: Open to all competitive runners aged 8 and over.

MISA Competition & Representative Sport

St Francis is a leading contender in the Macarthur Independent Schools Association (MISA). As part of our dedicated Tuesday sports program, students from Year 7 upwards represent the College in inter-school competitions against other independent schools in the Macarthur area.

We have built a reputation for being highly competitive driven by a commitment to excellence and teamwork. Beyond MISA, students from Year 3 upwards can also access various Wollongong Diocese gala days and elite selection trials, ensuring a clear pathway for our most talented athletes to succeed.
