At St. Francis Catholic College, prayer is the heartbeat of our community, serving as a daily invitation to pause, reflect, and reconnect with our faith. This collection provides our students and families with a spiritual compass for every moment of the day.

Whether we are honouring our charism through the Prayer of Thanks for Blessed Edmund Rice or offering our daily intentions through the Morning Offering, these orisons unite us in a shared language of hope and gratitude. By weaving prayer into the fabric of college life, we foster a culture of mindfulness and compassion, grounding our academic pursuits in a deeper commitment to God and to one another.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those
Oppressed by poverty and injustice.

May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund
As we seek to live lives of love and service.
We ask this through Christ our Lord,
Amen

Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil,
Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death,
Amen

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end,
Amen

For this and all we are about to receive, make us truly grateful, Lord.
Through Christ we pray.
Amen.

Loving God, thank you for a night of rest and for the gift of this new day.
We thank you for being with us to give meaning to what we do.
Thank you for loving us and for giving us the courage to share your love with those we meet today.
Amen.
