Applications for Kinder 2027, Year 7 2027, and Year 7 2028 are now OPEN.
Choosing the right school for your child is a big decision. Here at St Francis Catholic College, we strive to provide a safe and positive learning environment where your child can grow and achieve to the best of their ability.
Each year, we accept applications from Kindergarten and Year 7 families seeking placement for the following year. The enrolment process will see your application reviewed. Once applications close on Thursday, 2nd April, applications will then be assessed in accordance with the enrolment criteria outlined in the Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong Enrolment Policy. You will be contacted to either participate in an interview, be offered a waiting list, or be advised if your application is unsuccessful.
Interviews for Kinder and Year 7, for possible commencement in the following year, will take place in the middle of Term 2, with offers of placement to be made by the end of Term 2.
We also take applications from families with siblings to children already attending St Francis and from Catholic families whose children are currently in Year 5 seeking a place in Year 7 two years in advance.
Interviews for Year 7, two (2) years in advance, will take place in the middle of Term 3, with offers for placement to be made by the end of Term 3. Any remaining places will then be addressed in Term 1 of the following year, with any existing and new applications that come through.
Please take the time to read the Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong Enrolment Policy (this document outlines the guidelines we must follow when making enrolment decisions). We will often receive many more applications than positions available, so we encourage families to apply to more than one (1) school.
These applications will close on THURSDAY, 2ND APRIL 2026 at the close of business.
Applications for Years 1 - 6 and 8 - 11 are available and welcome throughout the year for possible placement or placement on a waitlist.
We advise that if your child is in Years 5 and 6, you should apply for a Year 7 position. If you wish for placement in Years 5 or 6, please email or phone the College.
Please ensure all the correct documentation is uploaded in a PDF or JPEG format, and reports are to be sent as one (1) document.
St Francis is indeed a school of choice in our local region. Given our popularity, we encourage you to ensure enrolments are submitted with all required items included, and we also recommend that you read the Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong Enrolment Policy (which includes the guidelines we must follow when making enrolment decisions). Often, it is advisable to apply to multiple schools in case your application is unsuccessful.
